He's right, I think this was one of the reasons why the face ended up looking rather odd. There's nothing wrong with the lineart version, but things were different once the colouring was completed

Sorry for the late delay everyone but I finally finished my Rurouni Kenshin CG. It only took me about 2 days of colouring but I spent way too much time on the sword. It still doesn't look right either, the handle reminds me of a tennis raquet

Some improvements over the lineart version:
- Adjusted right side of neck to be smaller
- Adjusted right side of chin
- Adjusted nose so it didn't push so far in one direction
- Adjusted position of sword to reveal how long it is
- Adjusted blade to be more curved and precise
- Removed lineart around blade for a more realisitc approach

Improvements that could've been made:
- If I were to change something, it'd be the colour of the handle but I just gave up and decided on a black/silver finish

Most happy with:
- The skintones, less pale than last time and the dark blood colours came up looking quite effective. However, I'm sure the samurai sword handle will be the first thing that catches everyone's eye *sighs* I'm not happy with that handle... argh!

Most disappointed with:
The background. Another dull white scenery, it was going to be blood splattered but it looked rather weird. Perhaps if there was a wall of somekind, I would've considered it

Next deviation:
Pondering a thought about doing Battle Angel Alita (WITH a background) The scrapyard's pretty easy to do, since my backgrounds end up looking like something from the scrap heap
